Family Feud

So probably the funniest thing that happened the whole time we were in KY involves my husband and my Uncle Daryl. See, my uncle drives a King Ranch Ford and JT drives a Chevy. Being the men that they are, they are always talking trash to each other about whose truck is better. My uncle called before we left and asked if Jeremiah had a chain he could take with him for pulling the house down. Jeremiah said he didn't have a big one - and my uncle informed him that all he would need was a dog chain because his Chevy couldn't handle much more than that anyways. So, as you can imagine, that started some good hearted family feuding fun. They talked trash about having to haul each other to KY all the way there.

So when we finally arrived in KY we parked and went inside because we were all SO ready to be out of the truck. A couple hours later Jeremiah went out to move the truck so we could start unloading. He was out there for a little bit but we didn't really pay him any attention. He finally comes back in the house and you could tell he had something to say but was very hesitant. Finally he says something to the effect of: Okay, you'll have to show me what that Ford can do. I'm stuck.

None of us believed him at first - but then all we could do is laugh because he was dead serious. He said he tried and tried to get it out without having to tell Daryl he was stuck. He said he was sitting out there praying that my step brother and his family would pull up before he had to come inside so maybe he could help him get unstuck and he wouldn't have to admit it. It was SO funny! So, we all went outside to see for ourselves and to watch Daryl pull Jeremiah out.

And to make things even funnier Uncle Daryl didn't even help Jeremiah hook the truck up. He stood around and took pictures instead - laughing his butt off the whole time.

And then when Jeremiah got it all hooked up, he got in the truck and about the time he sat down, closed the door, and started the truck Uncle Daryl floored it and literally yanked him across the yard. Show off!

And don't for a minute think Jeremiah was able to live this one down - not a chance - it just fueled the fire for the rest of the week.
