Catching up

I finally got my transcript filed and caught up on some other things and now I can try to concentrate on blogging. I don't want to make the posts too long so I'll probably break them up. We'll start with Hubby's dad. He had his prostate surgery on April 1st and the doctors think it was a huge success. He spent a few days in the hospital and has been at home recuperating. He goes back tomorrow (April 17th) for a follow-up visit.

On April 4th was our 4-H County Events. There were several kids who turned out to participate in Share The Fun, Fashion Review, Demonstrations, Illustrated Talks and they had a Cloverbud Table setting contest, too. Tater Tot's theme was a campfire cookout.

Ladybug, Tater Tot, "N" and "W" all participated in the Selection Division of the Fashion Review. They had to select an outfit and "model" it. Dakota chose an outfit in the "School Wear" category. The boys chose outfits in the "My Choice" category. "N" chose his band uniform, "W" chose his show clothes, and Tater Tot chose his baseball uniform. Ladybug and "W" won their categories for their age groups and are going to District competition on May 3rd. "N" was second in his category/age group and is an alternate for District. Tater Tot received his big green Cloverbud(ages 5-7) participation ribbon and a certificate for both his Fashion Review and Table setting. Cloverbuds don't get to go to District - which is a whole different can of worms that no one wants me to open and dump all over the place right now. Trust me - don't get me started.....
