We're Home...

We made it home safely! We left Kentucky around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday (July 24) and made it home around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night.
Monday we went out to the model airfield where my dad flies model airplanes. He took two of his planes to fly to show the kids. He crashed the first one and was able to fly the second one for a little while before we left.On Tuesday I took my dad to his chemo appointment so that Glenda could go to her own dr. appointment and not have to rush around. It was an uneventful visit. It's a process of IVs and multiple fluids being dripped and/or pushed in. It lasted about 3 hours this time. Every other week he gets an extra medicine which means the appointment lasts about an hour longer. I was glad I got to go to see what all goes on. It makes it easier to understand having seen it first hand.
We packed up when we returned from the chemo appointment and got on the road about 3:00 p.m. and drove to Cartersville, Georgia to Red Top Mountain State Park. We arrived there around 11:00 p.m. We spent the night and then headed for home.

Our trip home was pretty uneventful, too. The kids were great. We ran into traffic in Atlanta, of course, but it was fun because the kids got to see lots of planes fly over the truck. Some of them were pretty low so they got a pretty up-close look. They were both really excited. Other than that not a lot of excitement - which, again, is a good thing!

We enjoyed our visit but are glad to be home! To see all the pictures from our trip - the flying field and beautiful mountain scenery go to : http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=170868761/a=97585005_97585005/t_=97585005

We had a very good time with all of you here.
Sad to see you go but I know you are glad to be back home.
A great big Thanks to Drake and his Dad for all the hard work they did on the deck chairs and table and the batteries in the R/V.
I hope Dakota can use the saddle, she is a pleasure to be around, she is such a grown up kid.
AND a special thanks to the "T" for going to the Dr. with me, that ment more than I can say.

Love

Dad, papatucky, and Glenda
